Dagaoxuan Dian was built by Emperor Jiajing of Ming dynasty to respect Gods and pray for Ramadan,and played an important Taoist function from the middle of Ming Dynasty to the end of the Ming Dynasty.It was inherited and used by the Qing Dynasty as a place of praying with incense and holding a ashram for the emperors and has a very high historical value,cultural value,scientific value and artistic value.Based on the detailed surveying and mapping drawings of Tianjin University School of Architecture and a number of on-the-spot investigation and repairing record of the author,this paper provides a complete introduction to the physical remains of Dagaoxuan Dian.On the basis of the Ming and qing literature excavations,the research on the establishment of evolution is carried out.From the aspects of style characteristics,planning and external space design,etc.,conduct a systematic and comprehensive research on Dagaoxuan Dian.Firstly,through the field investigation and mapping drawings,according to the spatial order,courtyard,walls,buildings,structures,furnishings and other current status of Dagaoxuan Dian are revealed in detail.Secondly,based on the existing research,by consulting and collating a large number of historical documents,combined with the field research,we have come to the conclusion that Jiajing Emperor built Dagaoxuan Dian and its location,and interpreted the changes in the function and group layout of Dagaoxuan Dian at Longqing and Wanli Dynasty,clarified the changes in the function and nature inherited and reconstructed in the Qing Qianlong Dynasty,the destruction and the overhaul content in the Qing Guangxu Dynasty.Thirdly,through the analysis of a large amount of data,comparing the features of the plane,elevation and section of each building,and arranging the contents of the bracket sets and some large wooden components,the characteristics of the shape of Dagaoxuan Dian are summarized and analyzed.Fourthly,select the two time nodes of Ming Dynasty and Qianlong reconstruction,from the perspective of architectural design and group planning,this paper expounds the spatial layout,design image and so on of Dagaoxuan Dian,thus comprehensively reveal the whole conception and external space design method and theory.
