Study On Aging Design Of The Elderly Apartment’s Space Environment

With the aggravation of aging population,there are many types of old-age architecture to solve the problem of old-age housing.The apartment for the aged has provided a new choice for people.With the transformation of the old-age model and the concept of old-age care in China,the apartment for the aged has attracted more attention from the elderly.However,development of the old-aged apartment market in our country is in the exploratory stage at the present stage,and development of the old-aged apartment tends to "high-end" orientation.The design for aging gradually becomes a marketing slogan.It is easy to ignore real needs of the elderly in the practical design and application,which leads to misunderstandings in the development of the old-aged apartment.The spatial environment of the old-aged apartment not only refers to the structure and organization of physical space,but should pay more attention to the psychological feeling of the elderly brought by the design of spatial environment.Taking the old-aged apartment as the research object,this paper analyzes the related theories.On the basis of the theoretical research and questionnaire,two representative old-aged apartments of Beijing are selected to carry on the field investigation.The success and deficiency of the oldaged department are summarized,and finally the author puts forward four design strategies for the aging design of the old-aged apartment.It discusses design strategy of the spatial environment of the people-oriented old-aged apartment from the perspective of "security demand","social communication demand," “belonging demand" and “self-value realization demand”,and looks forward to the future development of the old-aged apartment in China.On the basis of satisfying the function and practice of the elderly to spatial environment,it should pay more attention to the psychological and emotional needs of the elderly,understand and respect their living habits,and pay more attention to their life.This is a social humanistic concern.It is hoped that this study will provide a certain reference for the design of the old-aged apartment at this stage,and build it into a living environment which can not only guide and regulate the emotion,but also enable the emotion to be carried and expressed.
