FAR 25.1523 and its appendices specify airworthiness requirements for the minimum flight crew(hereinafter referred to as "minimum crew")clause."Minimum Flight Crew" means the minimum number of crew members required to safely complete a flight mission without any over-attention or feel tired,in the condition that the layout of the flight cockpit have all been established. For a long time, the clause was considered as the primary clause of the man-made issue of civil aircraft cockpit.Based on the interpretation of the minimum flight crew clauses, the corresponding simulation experiments are designed to deeply analyze the function and workload of the flight crew,so as to verify the airworthiness requirements of a large civil aircraft cockpit in accordance with the clause. The method used in this paper is computer aided analysis, based on JACK software, using the human factor analysis module for the assessment of minimum flight crew.First use three-dimensional simulation software to establish the cockpit, seat and other models, and import into JACK.Adjust the parameters of the cockpit, seats and other models so that the model can be displayed normally in the JACK software.By optimizing the model to add the human body model base of Chinese pilots according to the human body size data of Chinese male pilots(GJB 4856-2003).Then use the digital pilots to analyze hand and eye on the manipulation of the accessibility of the device, comfort, adaptability of the operation of different mission and so on.By selecting different races, different seat heights, different seat tilt angles, etc.,the results are analyzed. The experimental results verify that the cockpit of a large civil aircraft meets the airworthiness requirements of the minimum flight crew and complete the minimum flight crew assessment.
