Basic Research On The Design Methods Of Cancer Rehabilitation Facilities

Cancer is one of the most closely related diseases and is also a public social problem that must be highly valued.As government increased focus on cancer,the medical technology has made great progress,significantly prolonging the life of patients.The five-year survival rate of patients is rising steadily,making the cancer a chronic disease.This change directly leads to a large increase in the demand for cancer rehabilitation facilities of day use,return visit and disease management.However in practice,there are few research and practical projects on the space design of cancer patients with rehabilitation period,resulting in misunderstandings about the necessity of rehabilitation nursing measures among patients and families,causing the cancer to relapse or worsen.Therefore,it is urgent to meet the needs of patients’ behavioral activities through the improvement of indoor and outdoor space environment of cancer rehabilitation facilities,help them restore physical,social and psychological function to the greatest extent and change passive treatment to active rehabilitation.This paper adopts the methods of literature analysis,field investigation,network investigation and inductive comparison,which targets at the influence of the behavioral activities’ demand on the architectural space characteristic.Meanwhile,it studies abroad cancer rehabilitation experience in design and seeks to improve core space usage and environment quality in domestic cancer facilities from the multiple perspectives of medical rehabilitation projects and function space setting.The study divides the paper into three main section by the stage of rehabilitation.Firstly,based on the acute stage cancer clinical pathway,the paper involves in the process of treatment and corresponding functions,discussing foreign cancer center layout idea of rehabilitation function,summarizing the most frequently used rehabilitation space characteristics.Through studying the situation and specific practice of tumour hospitals,the supply status of acute rehabilitation services has been revealed.Secondly,to explore the similarities and differences of standardized service,operation mode and space type provided by cancer rehabilitation facilities in foreign countries and summarize the effect of such architectural design concept,plane shape,function layout and appearance modeling on patients’ use and activity.Through studying the development model of community cancer facilities and rehabilitation club practices,the supply status of maintenance rehabilitation services has been revealed.Thirdly,this paper takes the cancer rehabilitation tasks as the starting point,putting forward the design idea of cancer rehabilitation space circulation that meets the clinical pathway and function module that meets the content of standardized service.Hopefully this paper could retain the advantage of domestic existing cancer rehabilitation,draw lessons from foreign advanced experience and provide design basis for the function layout and space construction of cancer rehabilitation architecture.
