With the rapid development of the economy and the remarkable improvement of living standard in our country,the number of vehicle holdings has increased sharply.However,too many running cars not only cause traffic jam and energy shortage,but also bring about air pollution and so on.On the other hand,the high price of the Battery Electric Vehicles and the reliability of their battery keep the consumers away.As a result,the hybird vehicles,transitioned from traditional vehicles to Battery Electric Vehicles achieved higher market recognition.The Hybrid Energy Vehicles are especially suitable for municipal public transport system.The better low-speed fuel economy and the same endurance mileage of the traditional vehicles make it the first choice for city bus.HEV reseach and development can not be separated from the safety performance of the study.Because of the difference between the HEV structure and the traditional fuel vehicle,it is necessary to test the specific safety evaluation for HEV.Based on EQ6110HEV6,a closer finite element model to the actual vehicle is established for side crash simulation analysis.First of all,the vehicle is moderately simlified,the unit body are classified into 3 parts: body,chassis,floor,the driving system and battery system.The left side structure is refined.Use mass points instead of power assembly,steering,seats and other parts that are non-collision areas.The more complete vehicle crash finite element modelis is established by mesh generation,unit quality control and contact type definition.Analyze the characteristics of side crash,refer to the domestic and foreign passive safety regulations,and determine the evaluation index of the side impact resistance of HEV.Based on the finite element model of the vehicle,the crash simulation of MPV and bus with the side impact of HEV was completed.Verify the effectiveness of the results by energy.The deformation of the side structure of the HEV body,the safety place of the passenger,the velocity response and acceleration response of the position of vehicle centroid,passenger,pilot and battery are analyzed.The results of this paper will provide certain reference for designing new coach products with higher crashworthiness and the establishment of side collision safety regulations.
