After decades of development,the UAV technology has been basically mature,playing a more and more important role in the military and civilian areas.However,with the rapid development of military equipment,single fighter operations are often limited in capacity,and the formation of multi UAV cluster becomes an important trend in the future development of UAV.Building a strong real-time and high reliability cluster formation communication network is the key link of cooperative combat,and is also an important research direction of UAV cooperative formation combat.In this paper,the research status of cluster formation and network research in domestic and foreign research institutes is fully investigated,and the overall design scheme of multi UAV formation communication network is proposed by referring to the design ideas and combining with the current needs of the laboratory.Firstly,multi UAV formation communication network platform is built.The platform mainly covers the overall system design,wireless communication and formation ground control station of UAV,and each part is described in detail.Then,summarize the key technologies of ad hoc networks and focus on access control protocol and routing protocol research.Building the NS3 network simulation environment under Linux operating system and simulating the wireless ad hoc network communication protocol,so as to clear the advantages and disadvantages of each communication protocol and its scope of application.After that,the UAV formation communication network platform is used to build the actual network,and three UAVs form a cooperative formation,each UAV can communicate directly with the ground station,and each UAV can also transmit data between each other.Design of communication link based on mavlink protocol and mesh protocol,and using nested methods to solve protocol compatibility problems.Design and build image transmission link and UAV image transmission based on analog and digital two ways.The formation ground station is developed under Linux system to realize the operator's online observation and real-time control of multiple UAVs.Finally,the common flight modes of UAV are introduced,and the autonomous cruise and cooperative formation of three UAVs are realized according to the mission requirements.
