Vehicular Ad-hoc network(VANET)is a communication network that combines the traditional Mobile Ad-hoc network(MANET)and vehicles.It processes data information of all vehicle nodes in the network,and achieves the goal of intelligent traffic management and information service.Because of the fast moving speed of vehicle nodes in VANET network,the network topology changes frequently.How to improve the problems in the communication process of VANET network has become the focus of VANET research and development.This paper aims at the problems of limited network communication bandwidth,fast and frequent change of topology structure,high packet loss rate,low reliability of transmission and large delay of information forwarding in vehicular ad hoc network(VANET)under urban road environment or highway environment.The content of VANET network is studied and analyzed in detail,the shortcomings of Position-based Directional Vehicular Routing(PDVR)are explained,and the road vehicle traffic information is used to improve and design the routing protocol.At the same time,the motion model in VANET network is studied and analyzed,and the motion model is constructed by SUMO+MOVE.Aiming at the shortcomings of PDVR routing protocol,the Improved Position-based Directional Vehicular Routing(IPDVR)is proposed.Adding the relevant route information identification in the data packet can improve the data transmission efficiency in the communication process;adding the judgment mechanism of the next hop node in the candidate node can improve the link interruption of data transmission;and adding the self-evaluation of the performance of the node can improve the communication quality of the node.Compared with PDVR,the improved IPDVR can improve the overall performance of the protocol to the communication process.On the basis of PDVR and IPDVR,routing protocol based on Vehicle Location Traffic Information(VLTI)is proposed.The protocol first grouped the vehicles on the road,and introduced the Group Information Packet(GIP)to help get the information of the members of the group and forward the information of the members of the group.Then it selected the turning points on the road to construct a stable and efficient communication link.The simulation results show that the protocol performs better reliability in the communication process.In order to verify the performance of routing protocols designed and improved based on vehicle traffic information,the OPNET network simulation platform was used for simulation.Of course,the scenario information required for the simulation will directly affect the perfonnance of the routing protocol,and the SUMO+MOVE is used to obtain the real scene application to the OPNET network simulation.Through the OPNET simulation,the obtained simulation results data are analyzed and compared.The designed and improved routing protocol of based on vehicle traffic information,the performance of packet delivery rate is improved and increased by more than 10%,and the performance of end-to-end delay of data transmission is reduced by more than 20%.Therefore,the routing protocol based on vehicle traffic information shows better superiority and reliability.
