Research On Spatial Interfaces Of Contemporary Japanese Architecture

As an important physical substance that defines and divides space,spatial interfaces is an important medium for people to understand the features and spatial connotation of buildings.Therefore,the fundamental way to construct and transform the space is to establish spatial interfaces.Japanese new prominent architects have won many international architectural awards in recent years,and their space has also been widespread concern in the architecture industry by the performance of the abstract,complex,digestive and uncertain characteristics.Their works show the attention of the building surface and their design method from the exterior to the interior provide the opportunity and the entry point for the research of this paper.This paper first elaborates the concept of the spatial interface and tease out the development of contemporary Japanese architectural space.At the same time,sums up the three main characteristics of the spatial interfaces,which are introducing natural complexity,creating a sense of building disappearance and concerning about human perception.Secondly,combined with case studies from three aspects to study the spatial interface,and try to explore the relationship between different spatial interfaces and spatial order,spatial scale and spatial experience.In the part of introducing the natural "complexity",new prominent architects organize the architectural space order of relational,dynamic and growth by creating complex and vague spatial interfaces.In the part of creating a sense of building disappearance,the architects broke through the limitations of the surface and try to use line and point to form spatial interfaces,so that the space is fundamentally released and resulted in a rich and continuous spatial scale.In the part of concerning about human perception,architects through the reverse thinking from the main body of space to create a different from the common sense of the space experience.Finally,this paper summarizes the design features of the spatial interface,and points out that the origin of contemporary Japanese architectural innovation lies in the question of architectural space.Making comparative analysis of China's problems and put forward the corresponding suggestions.
