With the rapid economic development of Ordos,the living standards of urban and rural residents have gradually increased,which results in higher electricity demand.Under such circumstance,Ordos Electric Power Bureau is committed to constructing the power grid,extending the power supply area,improving the power grid structure and investing the new generation,transmission technology and new equipment,which continuously satisfies the load demands which is constantly promoted,and improve the electric power quality of power grid at the same time.The key of safe power consumption and power supplement is safe and steady operation of transmission line which is evaluated by trip-out rate.And lightning fault is the main factor that affects trip-out rate.In general,if transmission line is stroked by lightning,equipment and components will be damaged,which will cause transmission line fault,reduce the electric power quality of this area and has great influence on local economy and social stability.In this study,taking 110 kV~220 kV transmission line of Ordos district for the research object,anti-earth technology of transmission line for lightning is analyzed and researched with advanced lightning protection idea and measure,which is combined with influencing factor of lightning understanding level of transmission line and tripping fault cases of this area in recent years caused by lightning stroke on the basis of cause analysis of lightning current.Lightning performance of transmission line can be improved by reducing the protection angle of ground wire,applying new material to reduce the ground resistance of mast,installing lightning rod and line arrester.According to the geographic features and climatic characteristics of this area,the objective of this research is to find out a suitable anti-lightning method for local power grid.Customized anti-lightning method is proposed,which is to improve the anti-lightning measure for different maintenance grade and different area of transmission line to achieve the lightning understanding level of HV transmission line of Ordos power grid,which will reduce the trip fault caused by lightning stroke to guarantee the safe and steady running of power grid.
