Electrical power grid of Inner Mongolia is with large capacity,high voltage level as well as high transmission tower.In addition,the geological environment along the power transmission line is complex,where the lightning stroke is easy to be introduced.Accordingly,from the viewpoint of safety,monitoring and analysis of the lightning stroke in Inner Mongolia is very important.Based on the measured data of Inner Mongolia power grid lightning location system and of the each power supply bureau,in combination with the inspection results,the basic tendency and differences have been analyzed.Based on the lightning density towards ground,the lightning activity frequency has been divided into 4 grades and 7 levels to draw the distribution of lightning stroke in Inner Mongolia power grid.3 points of division have been employed to classify the distribution of lightning stroke with 4 classes.According to the lightning accident records of Inner Mongolia power grid,the dangerous lightning current density distribution of Inner Mongolia power grid have been drawn,by which the lack of Inner Mongolia power grid lightning in time and space,data statistics and analysis of the meteorological conditions and lightning basic rule have been solved.Based on the lightning stroke distribution diagram,the proposal of differentiation technology in lightning stroke has been assumed.As a consequence,the lightning proctection method could lower the trip-out rate and enhance the withstand level,and thereby ensure the safe operation of the power grid.
