Suzhou classical garden is a model of literati gardens,It is the carrier of China’s excellent traditional culture,It is also the master of color use in ancient Suzhou city.Plant is the most viable factor in the green space of garden."Spring flowers,summer shadow,autumn hair,winter bone" Its varied seasonal color changes make the four seasons show different plant landscape,forming pictures that full of artistic conception,giving people a variety of aesthetic experience.So the plant’s seasonal color configuration has been more and more concerned.This paper carries on the related research and discussion based on it.From January 2016 to December 2016,I went to Suzhou gardens 100 times,and did a large number of research on plant configuration in 20 plots.Based on this,the study on the community plant composition,quantitative characteristics of community,the change of plant seasonal colors,the color eigenvalues of the main tree species and the evaluation of plant color landscape was carried out in the five gardens of Suzhou.The results reflected in the paper are as follows.1.I carry out field research on the 20 plots of Suzhou gardens.I record the species composition,analyze the quantitative characteristics of the community,and draw the plant configuration map.Every plot has about 10 species of plants,and they are raised in natural style.2.Analyze the eigenvalues of plant seasonal color.First,by drawing seasonal color plan of the 20 plots,I learn about the seasonal color distribution in these plots.Secondly,extract seasonal colors from all the 67 plant species.Then use the color card for quantitative analysis,and establish the color database.Summarize these colors and form the seasonal color chart.Finally,I select 10 color leafed plants,and analyze their color gradient process,viewing cycle and color eigenvalues.Through the above steps,I find some potential color plants in the gardens,such as Acer buergerianum,Ehretia acuminata,Sweetviburnum,etc.,hoping to promote the application.3.Use the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and fuzzy mathematics to evaluate the plant color landscape of Suzhou gardens.The importance ranking of evaluation factors is community ecology>seasonal color>landscape construction.From the evaluation results,the overall effect of plant color landscape in Suzhou gardens is great.There are 6 plots achieving the first level of landscape quality.12 plots are in the second landscape level.Only 2 plots are in level Ⅲ.Plots of diverse plant species and varied seasonal colors have great plant color landscape,they are worth learning.In this paper,color card values and CMYK values are used to quantify the color of plants,and then plant color database is established.It is conducive to the protection and repair of plant colors in Suzhou gardens,and it improves the quality of plant color landscape.It also provides a set of color analysis methods for the future garden plant design and helps the traditional colors translate into the design of modern gardens.
