Abstract/Summary:
With the gradual construction of the new type ’Internet+High-speed Rail’ infrastructure in China,the one-way elemental flow pattern between urban and rural regions has changed.The vigorous development of e-commerce activities in rural regions has brought about the fission-type proliferation of Taobao Villages.The rural revitalization strategy in the second half of Chinese urbanization process provides a rural development model for reference.Through a review of the spatial distribution,formation mechanism,cluster essence and diffusion trend of Taobao Village,it is pointed out that the Taobao Village cluster is essentially an industrial cluster distributed in rural regions,showing a significant near-field diffusion characteristics in space.Through the review of evolutionary economic geography,multi-dimensional proximity and creative knowledge networks,an interactive theoretical framework for the generation,diffusion and upgrade between multi-dimensional proximity and Taobao village creative knowledge is constructed.Through the empirical research on the Shaji-Gengche region,it is pointed out that the diffusion and upgrade of Taobao Villages’ creative knowledge is carried out in rural regions by means of social proximity,institutional proximity,organizational proximity,geographical proximity and cognitive proximity.This in turn will change the extent of multi-dimensional proximity.In the process of innovating knowledge diffusion in Taobao Village,different individuals use the social proximity to efficiently acquire tacit knowledge in furniture e-commerce knowledge through the networks of"acquaintances";the propaganda and promotion of market-augmented government under the influence of institutional proximity promote the diffusion of explicit knowledge;organizational proximity makes it possible for the original employees to derive their knowledge and e-commerce associations’ knowledge spillover,especially employee derivation can effectively promote the diffusion of tacit knowledge;the low threshold characteristics of furniture e-commerce knowledge and the strong commercial culture of the research region makes cognitive proximity not an important role in the diffusion of creative knowledge;the subtle influence in daily contact based on geographic proximity can promote the overflow of both explicit and tacit knowledge,and near-field collaboration can realize the business development strategy of specialized production and diversified operations.Due to excessive social proximity,which leads to the lack of economic rationality,the proliferation of creative knowledge in Taobao Village has led to serious homogenization competition,forcing the creative knowledge of Taobao Village to upgrade itself.In the process of upgrading the creative knowledge of Taobao Village,the key tacit knowledge of Taobao Villages’creative knowledge is mainly diffused through social proximity and organizational proximity.The distribution of furniture product patent data between space and inventor indicates that the diffusion of creative knowledge presents a certain degree of polarization distribution effect in geospatial space,and because the innovative knowledge of Taobao Village has lower requirements for cognitive proximity,the innovative knowledge presents a balanced distribution among the inventors.The social proximity,cognitive proximity and geographic proximity of villages are significantly positively correlated with the number of furniture patents,while the institutional and organizational proximity are negative.At the same time,with the upgrading of creative knowledge,the social and cognitive proximity of other towns in Suining County and Sucheng District generally showed an upward trend with Shaji town,indicating that social proximity and cognitive proximity and innovation knowledge upgrading process present a mutually interactive and evolutionary process Through the analysis of geographical proximity,it is shown that in the Suining-Sucheng region,innovative knowledge is permeated in the region within 14 kilometers far from Dongfeng Village,in which the innovation opportunities are equal for all villages.This study uses the multi-dimensional proximity perspective of evolutionary economic geography to explore the diffusion and upgrade process of Taobao Villages’ creative knowledge and the transformation mechanism of regional development path,which can not only enrich the theoretical research and empirical case of evolutionary economic geography,but also provide corresponding practical reference and experience for regional innovation and de-velopment.So,it has strong theoretical and practical significance.The article chapters are arranged as follows:The first chapter is an overview of the research.It includes the basic concepts and research background,purpose,content and significance of the research,as well as research ideas,methods and framework.This chapter starts from the definition of Taobao Village,creative knowledge and multi-dimensional proximity in evolutionary economic geography,and points out the background,purpose,content and significance of the research.It demonstrates the necessity of this research,and points out the research ideas and methods,and draws a specific research framework.The second chapter is a review of related research literature.This chapter mainly summarizes the distribution of Taobao Village in China,the dynamic mechanism of Taobao Village,the nature of Taobao Villages’creative knowledge industry cluster,Taobao Villages’agglomeration and diffusion research,and the basic theories and concepts of evolutionary economic geography.Relevant literatures such as the research on innovative knowledge networks and the evolution of innovative knowledge networks from the perspective of proximity have laid the foundation for the construction of the qualitative mechanism theory.The third chapter is the construction of theoretical framework and empirical methods.Based on the evolutionary economic geography theory,multi-dimensional proximity and the co-evolution between the creative knowledge network in the literature review,the theoretical interpretation framework of the interaction between multi-dimensional proximity and Taobao Villages’creative knowledge generation,diffusion and upgrade is constructed.Then,some relevant theoretical deductions are inferred,and the empirical research objects,data sources and research methods are indicated.The fourth chapter is the diffusion process and theoretical deduction of Taobao Villages’creative knowledge.Through the field investigation and analysis of Shaji-Gengche region,this chapter summarizes the general process of the creative knowledge diffusion in Taobao Villages through a series of typical cases of Taobao Villages’ creative knowledge diffusion,and determines the dominant proximity in the process of Taobao Villages’creative knowledge diffusion process.Then some relevant theoretical deductions are inferred.The fifth chapter is the upgrade process and theoretical deduction of the Taobao Villages’creative knowledge.Through the analysis of the patent data from Suining County and Sucheng District during 2011-2018,the spatial distribution dynamics of creative knowledge and the evolution of products are analyzed.Multivariate linear regression models are established to determine the relevance between different kinds of proximity(geographical,cognitive,institutional,organizational,social)and patent data,and then analyze the dynamic changes in cognitive proximity and social proximity,and make relevant theoretical deductions.Chapter Ⅵ,conclusions and discussion.This chapter summarizes the leading factors of the diffusion and upgrade of creative knowledge in Taobao Village,discusses the mechanism theory and theoretical deduction of the diffusion and upgrade of creative knowledge in Taobao Village,points out the innovations and inadequacies of this research,and forecasts the future prospects.
