Study On The Protection And Utilization Of Private Gardens In Beijing Old City

Beijing old city has a long history and profound cultural connotations.It is the key area for the protection of Beijing's historic and cultural cities.Up to now,it has preserved a relatively complete pattern of streets and alleys and a large number of historical and cultural resources.Private gardens,as the residential gardens of noble officials and the rich in the history of Beijing old city,embody the superb gardening artistic techniques and various layout forms of the ancient people.They are also the representative material carriers to witness the changes of urban history and the social life of the upper classes.They have rich artistic culture and historical protection value.However,in Beijing's urban construction,due to improper protection and management,a large number of private gardens have been demolished and destroyed.At present,most of the private gardens left over from Beijing old city have been destroyed to varying degrees.Some gardens are used as office and residential forms of units.It is difficult to bring their own value into play.If they are not protected in time,the precious material and cultural heritage such as private gardens in Beijing old city will suffer sustained damage.Based on the data collection and field investigation of private gardens in Beijing,this paper classifies and collates the history,protection process and current situation of private gardens in Beijing old city,analyses various problems faced by private gardens in the old city,and puts forward different levels of protection and utilization strategies for private gardens in the old city of Beijing in the light of the background and direction of the overall protection and development of Beijing old city.This paper is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is to sort out the origin and development process of private gardens in Beijing old city,analyze the relationship between private gardens and the establishment and development of Beijing.Through the relevant policies and regulations on urban protection and cultural relics protection in Beijing,sort out the protection process of private gardens in Beijing old city,analyze the existing problems in the protection and management,and consolidate the old city in Beijing.Under the background of physical protection and revival,the value and development opportunity of private garden protection and utilization are put forward.The second part is to analyze the distribution characteristics,layout scale,gardening types and historical and cultural characteristics of the existing private gardens in Beijing old city through the collation of historical data,and to sort out and describe the status of the preservation and utilization of private gardens through field investigation and interviews,and to analyze the existing problems in the preservation and utilization of private gardens.The third part is to put forward the overall protection principles and targeted protection strategies for private gardens in the light of the overall protection policies of Beijing old city.According to the value and preservation of private gardens,it puts forward specific protection methods for different types of private gardens.The fourth part is based on the goal of revitalization and development in Beijing old city,it puts forward the overall utilization direction of private gardens in terms of spatial optimization,function easing and providing the administrative environment.It puts forward the overall utilization strategy of building private garden culture visiting road and integrating resources of old city culture essence area,and puts forward different forms according to its own characteristic value and utilization situation of private gardens.At present,there are few studies on the protection and utilization of private gardens in Beijing old city.Through data collation and investigation and analysis,this paper puts forward a preliminary exploration on the protection and utilization of private gardens,with a view to providing reference and basis for the follow-up protection and utilization of private gardens and similar cultural heritage.
