The predecessor of the Hubei Academy of Fine Arts-the private Wuchang Art College in history,since the establishment of the new campus in February 1926,Wuchang Art College ushered in its most brilliant school period,from the song flute lake to the water and land street,the difficult growth The era,which is what we call the "Golden Age" peak period,as of June 1938,with the occurrence of the Wuhan Battle,the Japanese plane destroyed the urban homes,schools and institutions.At noon on August 16,the Japanese plane carried out a crazy bombing of Wuchang City.The indiscriminate bombing caused the school to suffer huge losses.The school building of Wuchang Art College has ceased to exist,leaving only a few photos and documents.Nowadays,as our school immediately celebrates its 100 th anniversary,the predecessor of our school,Wuchang Art,is full of historical fragments.The destruction of the“Golden Age” school building in Wuchang Art Institute has lost the pursuit of that history.In this paper,the author explores the architectural style and decorative features of Wuchang Art Institute in the historical background,the establishment,expansion,construction scale and site selection,and returns to the origin of memory and history.But how do we study the buildings that are disappearing now? Based on this question,this study attempts to analyze the domestic architecture under the historical background of the same period,to study the scale of the building,the material and the decorative features to compare and find the same,and combine the historical background,human history and domestic and international conditions to summarize and organize.Further in-depth study,using a comprehensive view of a building's multi-faceted historical background,expand the way of research.What we have to do is not only a study of building data and shape,but also a study of historical memory and humanistic spirit and pursuit.However,this part of the Wuchang Art School building is lacking in memory andis very important to the historical reproduction of our campus important.
