The Shijiu Lake-Gucheng Lake area has long history and it is a very representative polder area in China. The current situation of this area includes diverse landscape patterns and settlement patterns. This thesis takes the landscape and settlement system of the Shijiu Lake-Gucheng Lake polder area as the main research subject, and conducts detailed analysis through comprehensive geographical history research, systematic level research and selection of representative regions, from the macro and micro scales. At the macro level, through the systematic interpretation of the interior of the site, the spatial structure within the scope of the study is explored, and the restored networks are superimposed to analyze their mutual association.By extracting types, researching slices, summarizing development methods,we will look at the pattern of various systems at the macroscopic scale and provide a theoretical basis for future village and town construction and development,at the same time,it also provides a methodological attempt for the study of polder villages from the perspective of architecture. The first chapter is the introduction. This part explains the background and significance of the topic, the related literature, and the research status of polder and village. The concept and scope of the discussion are determined. The research method and the framework of the thesis are introduced. The second chapter explains the collection and selection of the basic drawings needed for the systematic research in the following article, introduces the climate geography and development process of Shijiu Lake-Gucheng Lake area, and the ancient Danyang Lake which has great influence on the site environment. The lake changes and the data is sorted.Comprehensive site information is the basis for the following specific discussion. The third chapter specifically discusses the landscape system and settlement system in the reclamation area. The landscape system is divided into topographic and geomorphic systems, water network water conservancy systems and polder systems. The main types of polders, roads and settlement systems are divided and detailed. The types of polders are mainly polygons, feathers, fields and straight blocks. The road types are mainly divided into free, radial, strip and grid. The types of settlements are mainly belt type, star type, island type and group type, and the representative areas are compared and the structural characteristics are studied. The structural model of the polder village is established and its evolution model is explained. At the same time, horizontal and vertical comparisons are made to find out the correlation, hoping to provide effective help for urban development. The fourth chapter analyzes the composition of the landscape pattern of the polders in the site, the interrelationship between the systems at different levels, and the superposition of the road system and the settlement system. The identifiable structure of different regions is divided and the typical structure is analyzed.Interpretation of specific villages. The combination of the settlement system and different types of landscape structures is combed, and the combination of the four types of polygons, feathers, fields and straight blocks is used to summarize the settlement rules of the settlements for abstract drawing. The relationship between road system and landscape system is more close.Settlement system is a manifestation of environmental conditions in landscape system and road system. The fifth chapter is a summary of the content and conclusions of the full text, while thinking about the shortcomings of the paper and the prospect of the research content.
