Experimental Study On Mechanical Properties Of Prefabricated External Geopolymer Concrete Wall Panel

Abstract/Summary:
Geopolymer concrete is a new type of inorganic polymer with high performance.It has the advantages of high strength,fire resistance and acid-alkali corrosion resistance.It is a new material with better performance than ordinary concrete.The application of geopolymer concrete as building material can also reduce the discharge of solid waste,save resources and contribute to environmental protection.In this paper,the basic mechanical properties of polypropylene fiber reinforced fly ash based foam geopolymer(PFFAFGC)are studied by experiments.Four prefabricated exterior wall panels are produced with geopolymer concrete.The flexural behavior of the wall panels is studied by static loading test and the seismic performance of the wall panels under different intensity is studied by shaking table test.It provides a reference for the practical application of geopolymer concrete materials.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.The density of the prepared geopolymer concrete is 935-978 kg/m~3,which belongs to light material and its compressive strength is 11.6 MPa.The compressive strength of geopolymer concrete is affected by the direction of expansion.When the direction of force is parallel to the direction of expansion,the strength of parallel expansion direction is about 1.18times of that of vertical expansion direction.The ultimate compressive strain of geopolymer concrete is about 2893με.The elastic modulus of geopolymer concrete is 3740 MPa,which is only 1/10 of the elastic modulus of concrete.The flexural strength of geopolymer concrete is2.39 MPa and the ratio of flexural strength to compressive strength is 0.18,which is better than that of ordinary concrete.However,the size effect of geopolymer concrete is obvious.For the specimen with 100mm edge length,the recommended size conversion coefficient is0.872.2.GB8 plate has good seismic performance.GB8 Board meets the requirement of using as enclosure wall at 90m height in Beijing area,and has a large safety reserve.The deflections of GB8 plate and GB10 plate are 3.0 mm and 10.8 mm respectively in normal service state,which meet the deformation requirements in the code.The ultimate bearing capacity of GB8slab is 162.63 kN,which is about five times normal service load.3.Geopolymer concrete has good bonding force with steel bars,and there is no slip of steel bars during loading.4.The prefabricated external geopolymer concrete wall panel can withstand the seismic action of peak acceleration of 0.07g,0.2g,0.4g and 0.6g.There is no obvious damage to the wall panels in the experimental process,which has good integrity.5.The tensile strength and shear strength of the wall-slab joints meet the service requirements,and the joints can work safely and steadily during the whole test process.
