Design And Application Of Urban Three-Dimensional Landscape Model

As a basic data,three-dimensional landscape model play a key role in digital city construction.At Present,with the development of the information age,the people's demand for the expression and processing of various three-dimensional information reconstruction using computer technology in the city is increasingly urgent.It requires not only the establishment of a single building or building group,but also the establishment of a three-dimensional landscape model of the whole city.Urban 3D modeling includes all the elements of a city,i.e.architecture,greening,road network,water system,bridges,sketches,etc.It can visually reproduce the appearance of the city in three-dimensional computer and realize the combination of real and virtualization.It is an effective way to build a digital city.The construction of "Digital Sanming" geospatial framework was taken as an example in this study.The key technologies of three-dimensional landscape modeling,including data acquisition means,modeling methods,database construction and visualization application platform display,were studied.Firstly,based on the analysis of the existing three-dimensional modeling technology,as well as the actual characteristics and requirements of Sanming city's terrain modeling,Photoshop and 3ds,Max were selected as the modeling and texture mapping software to establish the 3D model of the whole city.Secondly,the specific implementation process and key technologies of various terrain modeling were given.Moreover,the strategies of solving the technical difficulties were presented in detail.Accordingly,a three-dimensional urban model of Sanming urban area were designed and implemented.Finally,the data was edited and stored in the model,and the model was displayed on the platform.Our study shows that,on the basic of traditional digital topographic map modeling,accurately large-scale urban three-dimensional model can be implemented by accurate modeling of each single model using 3DS Max software with orthophoto Image,real photograph data collected in the field,digital elevation model as input data.
