H Company's Overseas Project Cost Management Reserch

With the development of the global economy integration,under the pressure of shrinking domestic market and increasing competition,more and more Chinese engineering companies “going-out” and seek for the opportunities to enter the overseas market.Low-end market featured with a brutal price war,while high-end market offers great profits but unknown risks.But whatever the market is,making sure that the project quality and schedule can meet the requirement,the companies take pursuing the maximization of profit as their goal.Therefore,the companies have to continuously improve their internationalization level of project management;focus on cost management and strengthening the project cost management to realize economic efficiency of the project,thus realize the economic efficiency of the company.The paper is based on the theories of project management and project cost management.Taking H company's overseas project of the developed countries as the object of study,it introduces the current situation of H company's overseas business,project management and project cost management,and point out the problems of the project cost management,including inaccuracy of cost budget,unfamiliarity with design standard,weak of project management control,lack of right measure to cost overrun,unclear responsibilities during the project management etc.It also analyzes the loophole in the project management and the factors effecting cost.And provide some advice and suggestions to improve these problems,such as: improving the cost assessment,strengthen the accuracy of the budget,reduce the negative factors influencing the cost.The study of this paper is to provide experience to H company's next type project for a better implementation.And also provides reference for the type of engineering companies.
