With the rapid economic development in our country,the power industry is also facing a new situation.In recent years,with the volatility of wind farms,solar photovoltaic power plants and the intermittent clean energy grid-connected and put into operation,substations are required to be more flexible and controllable.Diversified service needs require a more friendly interaction between substations : Economic and social development requires substations safer,more reliable,better quality : resource and environmental constraints require substations more efficient,more economical and more environmentally friendly.In this situation,how to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid and to meet the requirements of the transformation of the power grid has become a problem that our power system must face and solve.However,conventional substations have long been in the spotlight because of poor interoperability between equipment manufacturers and high operation and maintenance costs,which are no longer suitable for the needs of smart grid construction.With the breakthrough in innovation of new energy technologies,smart technologies,information technology and network technologies,the third industrial revolution is under development and the strong smart grid is accelerating its development towards a worldwide interconnection.Then the traditional intelligent substation construction currently has the following characteristics : Firstly,the construction period is long,mainly reflected in the first and second equipment on-site commissioning and long coupling time.Secondly,large amount of civil work,taking into account the presence of a large number of buildings on site.Thirdly,substation covers an area of large,large construction investment.Modular substation with standardized design,factory processing,assembly-based construction model greatly optimized the construction cycle,shortening the construction cost.Modular intelligent substation application of universal design,common equipment atlas,using plug and play secondary wiring,to support "large operation,overhaul",using common,modular,standardized and customized information model.At the same time,it adopts the prefabricated buildings,structures and prefabricated bunker secondary combination equipment to realize the scale production,integration and debugging of primary and secondary integrated equipment factories.Based on this background,this paper carries out the secondary design and research of 110 kV modular intelligent substation.The secondary system,especially the transformer selection and secondary parameter optimization,in-situ sampling and digitization of the realization of integrated monitoring system of the whole network structure,networking and switch configuration mode,the relay protection device sampling and it is very necessary to study the design of key secondary systems such as tripping method,secondary virtual circuit in substation and design of secondary circuit in local intelligent control cabinet.According to the conclusion of the study,it is proposed that the design scheme of the actual project at this stage has important reference and reference value for the future design of smart substation.
