Analysis On Landscape Construction Of Geyuan Garden In Yangzhou

Yangzhou Geyuan Garden was founded in 1818,which was a famous salt merchant garden at that time.However,with the decline of the Huang family,the owners of the gardens changed owners several times,encountering wars,partition and occupation.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,Geyuan Garden were nationalized,repaired and used for other purposes.Its landscape has changed a lot with the history.In this paper,the theme is to explore the characteristics of Geyuan Garden landscape construction.Firstly,by consulting historical documents,visiting the old scholars of landscape architecture in Yangzhou and the staff of Geyuan Garden management office,the historical evolution of Geyuan Garden property rights is sorted out,revealing the important events in the development of tourism through several changes of ownership,eventual nationalization and now.Subsequently,the author went to Geyuan Garden to conduct a field survey.Focused on the residential area,the mountain area,the bamboo park area to conduct a comprehensive survey,collect the necessary photo and data.Geyuan Garden is located in Dongguan Street,which is closely related to the Canal River.Houses are divided into three roads,east,middle and west,each road can be divided into front,middle and back,showing the layout of nine palaces.The rocks in the mountain area are composed of stalagmite,Lake stone,yellow stone and Xuanshi,reflecting the scenery of the four seasons.In the meantime,there are halls,buildings,pavilions and two pools.The bamboo park area embodies the beauty of the bamboo scenery.At present,there are more than 20,000 poles of bamboo varieties in this area.On the basis of field investigation and historical data,it can draw some conclusions from the analysis of the landscape of individual gardens.Firstly,after the founding of the PRC,the northern bamboo parks area have been added,making the overall layout of Geyuan Garden long in north and south,narrow in east and west.From this,the tourist routes of residential area,rockery area and bamboo park area are formed.Because of the fewer buildings in the bamboo park area,the building density of each park decreases from north to south,which makes the visual perception of visitors change gradually from sparse to dense,and brings different landscape experiences.Secondly,the rockery and architecture in mountain area provide a two-storey high-level route,and take into account the need of two-storey ornamental in greening and water landscape.Thirdly,by investigating the remnants of pillars and pillars in the shallow mountain area on the spot,it is inferred from historical data that there was a super corridor connecting houses,rockeries and halls in the shallow mountain area,forming a unique"building-corridor-mountain" structure.Based on this inference,the paper also puts forward a hypothesis about the emergence of the "Four Seasons Rockery".It is believed that the disappearance of the "building-corridor-mountain" structure promotes the independence and connotation of the garden rockery.Through the analysis of landscape changes,three suggestions are put forward for the development of modern tourism in the garden:designing more flexible tour routes,reasonably exploiting its own resources,and controlling the number of visitors in order to protect cultural relics.
