Research On Landscape Design Of Multi-dimension Riverfront In Small Towns

The waterfront area is an important landscape resource and economic resource for small towns and plays an important role in urban development.Due to differences in economic level,natural conditions,cultural development and lifestyle,small towns have their own special conditions,and their development paths are completely different from those of large cities.However,in the recent urban renewal and transformation process,some cases only shape the waterfront landscape from the material aspects of vision,aesthetics and form,and imitate the construction mode of the waterfront area of the big city,and plan and design the waterfront area of the small town.The particularity,comprehensiveness and multi-dimensional overall process are still insufficiently understood.In view of the above problems,this paper first discusses the research progress of small towns and waterfront landscapes at home and abroad,analyzes the basic characteristics and current situation of small town waterfront,and summarizes the significance of waterfront landscape to small towns.With the help of dimensional theory,connection and chain theory in urban design,multi-angle and multi-level exploration of small town waterfront planning and design strategies,and taking the Changhua Xibin River landscape belt in Hangzhou as the research object,to demonstrate small towns by practice The feasibility of the "multidimensional connection and chain" theory in the waterfront area,the main research results are as follows:(1)Analyze the core concepts of the small town waterfront and "multidimensional connection and chain" by summarizing the literature and practice cases.(2)The values,basic connotations and general ideas of the "multi-dimensional connection and chain" design were constructed for the small town waterfront.The definitions of"single-dimensional" and "multi-dimensional" design of the waterfront area are compared,and the development model of small towns in the context of new urbanization is consistent with the theory of "multidimensional connection and chain".(3)Based on the concept of "connection",this paper proposes the morphological dimension,visual dimension and cognitive dimension,expounds the construction approach of the material environment level in the waterfront area of small towns;based on the concept of "chain",proposes the social dimension,functional dimension and time dimension.Non-material level solutions toachieve the integration of waterfront and town development.Taking the Changhua Riverside River Landscape Belt as an empirical study,it is reasonable and feasible to test the research results.
