| At present time, the waterfront constructions of many cities are based on regulatory detailed rules made by city planning and construction department in China. Professional designs follows the division of land. This way of city planning is usually called partition and2-D plan. So if it is directly transformed into real urban form, it will lead waterfront space form to a single situation. What’s more serious is that the hydrophilic of people will be affected and the closeness to water will be limited, too. So, how to make full use "integration" design method to solve the separation of urban waterfront space elements is the purpose of this research.This paper, through the research of waterfront space situation of Xiaonan River in SanHe ancient town, will focuses on a specific area from the Erlong Bridge to Tianran Bridge. From the perspective of the water, the bank (square and green space), roads, bridges and buildings, it will discusse their respective status and features of the elements and the correlation among them. Then an integrated strategy will be proposed. Through the research on waterfront elements and integrated analysis of Xiaonan River, I hope my propositions will serve well in the future development as well as the present waterfront construction project in some cities. |
