The Application Of FMEA Technology In The Manufacturing Process Of The Case

The case used on a certain product is a major military product manufactured by our factory.Along with the rapid development of national defense industry,the demands will be very large.As a key part of the motor,it plays an important role during motor operation.The structure,shape,material and processsing methods will influence its performances.As it belongs to weapon system,the requirement for reliability is the most important.Therefore,the precision of the case must be concerned in the design of the case.Both proven technology and strict quality control are required during the manufacturing.The application of FMEA technology in the manufacturing process of the case was discussed in this paper.With the technology,the shortage of the design or manufacturing at the primary period of development can be found and improvement can be put forward so as to shorten the development period,lower the cost as well as improve the percentage of qualified product.The main contents are as folows.(1)The geometric model and manufacturing process of the case is studied.From the aspects of worker,machine and material,the product characteristics and process characteristics during production operation were analyzed.The flow chart of the case was worked out.(2)On the basis of processing analysis,the factors which may influence the production were analyzed according to FMEA.The possible defects and their effects during manufacturing were identified and evaluated with FMEA.Moreover,the severity of the failure,the occurrence possibility of the failure as well as the detection possibility for the failure were quantified.Some measures were put forward to reduce the effects of various factors on the quality of the product.(3)Based on the technological process and FMEA analysis,the control plan of the case during manufacturing was made so as to make all the product characteristics and process characteristics under control.Therefore,the standard operational document and quality control plan were formed to eliminate the failure of the product during manufactuing.Finally,the application of the study in practice was explained.
