In the context of the new urbanization development in Hubei Province,large and medium-sized cities has entered a period of rapid and stable development.With the large-scale construction,urban functions are scattering,the spatial structure changes accordingly,Traffic demand aggravates increasingly too,which cause serious traffic problems and pose greater challenges to green travel.Therefore,it is necessary to study the interaction between the spatial structure of the large and medium-sized cities and the green traffic development model.It has practical significance to alleviate the urban traffic problems,to promote the transformation of traffic development model in those cities,to guide the urban residents to travel green and support the urban transport sustainability development.This text first introduces the urban spatial development model,and combines the spatial development characteristics of large and medium cities in Hubei province.The spatial structure is divided into three categories: single center circle city,linear group city and nonlinear multi-center group city.Secondly,it introduces the composition of urban traffic development model and compares the characteristics of various modes of transportation.Based on the analysis of the typical traffic development model in China,the traffic development model of large and medium cities is divided into two stages,three types.The two stages are: slow traffic-oriented,multiple modes of transportation coexistence stage,public transport and car motorized transportation game stage;three types are: slow traffic-oriented,balanced development and public traffic-oriented / car-oriented,and puts forward the green traffic development model of large and medium cities,then summarizes the structural characteristics and planning requirements of traffic travel in three types of cities in Hubei province.Thirdly,traffic modeling and analysis of different spatial structure cities based on TransCAD,and use the four-stage method to plan the annual traffic demand forecast of three kinds of cities.Fourthly,establish adaptability mechanism between spatial structure and green transport development model.Considering the different types of urban spatial structure,according to the model test results,the text establishs the adaptive mechanism from two aspects: the decisive effect of the spatial structure on the traffic development model and adaptability and guidance of traffic development model to spatial structure.Finally,in order to promote the transformation and implementation of green travel in large and medium-sized cities in Hubei province,the optimization strategies are put forward from four aspects: urban spatial structure,urban road network,urban traffic and land coordination and management policy.
