On Emotional Design Of Growth Center For Albinism Children

Albinism is a rare genetic disease,which can be prevented rather than cured by the current medical treatment.There have been more than 100,000 Albino in China and the proportion of children with albinism shows an increasing trend year by year.In addition to the basic physiological characteristics,such as white skin and hair,extreme sensitivity to light and poor eyesight,their lower physical immunity,Children with albinism are more likely to suffer psychological disorders and have negative effects on their physical and mental development due to the social neglect and peer ridicule.After analyzing the physiological and psychological status of children with albinism and their growing environment,this paper adopts field investigation,literature analysis,comparative study and other research methods and then combine the psychology of special children and the psychology of environment to design and analyze the growing environment of this special group.The purpose of this paper is to integrate the emotional design elements full of humanistic concern into their growing environment and bring new ideas and models,and reduce discrimination from the outside,as well as enhance the self-confidence of children with albinism and help them to live a normal life and have equal access to learn and work.At last the paper summarizes conclusions and achievements related to the albinism children's growth space.The main design concept of the center of albinism children's growth is "emotionalization",which is mainly embodied in the humanized function plate and the prevention and treatment of streamline,the multi-sensory experience space,the interactive building integrating the society,the family,the child,green and comfortable decorative materials and the guiding system suitable for the child's physiological characteristics and so on.Through the investigation of the "Moon Children's Home" albinism service center in Xi'an,Shanxi Province,we find that there are some deficiencies,and do some relevant research,and draw the following conclusions:Albinism children are same as other ordinary children who have extraordinary creativity,intelligence,mobility,learning ability which are not inferior to any ordinary children.As designers,we should pay attention to their emotional needs,give them sufficient emotional attention,make humanized improvements according to their needs and enhance their emotional communication with space and the environment,which is also our emotional concern for special children.
