The standard seismic design method in China is to design a structure based on the principle of three level which means that structure will be designed under frequent earthquake and checked under rare earthquake.And this method is difficult to grasp the performance of structure under rare earthquake.The active design of components in nonlinear stage is realized directly by the seismic design method of frame core tube structure based on the expected damage.However,this method has not been tested experimentally.Therefore,the dissertation studies the seismic behavior and damage mode of the structure by shaking table test,verifying the superiority of this method at test level.The main research contents are as follows:Experimental design of the shaking table test for frame core tube structure.According to the prototype structures,two 1/15 scaled model structures are designed and fabricated based on the dimensional similarity principle.And finally the shaking table tests are completed.The dissertation discusses the design process of model structures and the scheme of shaking table test in detail.Seismic behavior analysis of frame core tube structure based on the experimental results.This dissertation collects and processes the experimental data of the two model structures,studies and analyzes the seismic behaviors of the structures,including dynamic properties,acceleration response,storey deformation curves,inter-storey displacement angle,torque response and so on.The dissertation compares the seismic behaviors of the two model structures in detail.Damage mode analysis of frame core tube structure based on the experimental results.The dissertation analyzes the damage mode of the two model structures under earthquake action in terms of size of component damage,site distribution of component damage,relative relation of different components' damage and the failure sequence of components.The dissertation analyzes the differences between the two methods,verifying the superiority and correctness of the seismic design method based on the expected damage of frame core tube structures.
