Research On Landscape Image Of Mentougou Traditional Villages In Western Beijing

Mentougou traditional village is the representative ancient villages in north China,it witnesses the development of Jingxi region because of its superior natural landscape environment and well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty architectural style,it becomes China’s representative of cultural landscape with highly historical and cultural value.Nowadays,because the base research of traditional villages is insufficient,traditional villages faced with serious issues of natural and man-made destruction,causing the regional landscape destroyed,landscape images fuzzy and even lost.Along with the opportunity of our country’s cultural tourism wave as well as the protection of the traditional village constantly promoting,the prophase research of conservation and utilization of Mentougou traditional village landscape from the angle of image is imminent.This paper starts from the theoretical basis of traditional village landscape image research.First tease out the related concepts and theories of traditional village landscape image research,and then combined with the division method of Kevin lynch’s city image elements,and the characteristics of traditional villages in China,classifying and describing the traditional village landscape image elements,and studying the landscape image retrieval method.Then it describes and analyzes the landscape image of the Mentougou traditional village from the perspective of personality and structure.This paper mainly analyzes the elements of the landscape image of Mentougou traditional villages to clarify the personality of landscape image.Through the analysis of the combination of elements to clarify the structure connotation of landscape image.Then based on the analysis of the object image of village landscape,exploring the profound regional culture connotation in village landscape,digging up the deep mechanism of formation of the landscape image,and on this basis to explain the overall landscape image of Mentougou traditional villages.Finally from the preference landscape image of the public to differentiate the characteristic of the village landscape,providing effective guidance for the protection and development of Mentougou traditional villages.This study found that along with the evolution of history and the development of social economy development evolution,Mentougou traditional village landscape gradually developing and evoluting,the landscape image has experienced four historical periods,from germination to reshape and showing rigorous image now.The landscape image of Mentougou traditional village shows the characteristic of "the dwelling of the deep mountains,the mountains and rivers to help them,the simple and heavy architecture,the peaceful and quiet environment".The public is very impressed by the natural landscape,the well-preserved ancient buildings in Mentougou traditional villages,and is yearning for the quiet life atmosphere in the village.The local natural landscape scenery and ancient architecture are core competitiveness of village landscape features,and it is the emphasis of moulding village tourism image brand and the protection of the villages.Landscape image is the public perception and evaluation of landscape environment,which is an important consideration when evaluating the characteristics of a traditional village landscape.The research on the landscape image of the traditional village is the precondition for the protection and development of the village cultural landscape.This study provides a basis for public perception and evaluation for the protection and development of the traditional villages.
