The purpose of this paper is to explore how to evaluate user requirements for digital equipment by evaluating grid method in digital equipment design,to increase users' participation in digital equipment design,and to help designers obtain more comprehensive and accurate user requirements and to grasp the design direction.Enhance the matching of product function planning and user needs and improve product feasibility.Method: Based on the evaluating grid method of user perception in the field of perceptual engineering,user interviews were conducted on digital equipment users to obtain the level of user needs,and the function-system analysis principle of the product was used to construct the “demand-function” model of the product.According to the “demand-function” model,the detailed requirements of users and the division of functional functional structural modules are found,providing powerful reference and guidance for the design of the project.This topic takes six digital equipment design cases as an example,including four design practice cases,two conceptual design cases,through the use of case-based empirical methods,the use of research methods of this topic for digital equipment design analysis,and after user research and interviews,data Analysis,construction of "demand-function" model,discovery of design opportunities and other stages,the final output of six design programs,in order to verify the validity and feasibility of the research method.Conclusion: The application of evaluation grid method in digital equipment design research and the “demand-function” model constructed according to the method can allow digital equipment users to participate in product design in a deeper manner to help the designer to be faster,more comprehensive and accurate.Get the user's needs of the product,enhance the rationality of the product's function,structure and other planning from the aspect of engineering feasibility,and provide powerful help and guidance for the development of digital equipment design and design upgrade.It is hoped that the research on this topic can also be extended to other related types of product design analysis,providing reference and new considerations for product design enhancement.
