The disease of asphalt bridge deck pavement on cement concrete bridgeaffects the service quality of the road.Starting with describing the typical diseases of bridge deck pavement,the reasons of diseasesare analyzed.The researches involves many aspects,such asstructure design theory and method of asphalt bridge deck pavement,design and performance testing of asphalt mixture,performance testing of waterproof bonding layer,and construction technology of bridge deck pavement.The simplified finite element model of bridge deck pavementis put forward in aspect of mechanical model theory becausethe method of pavement structure design is not applicable to bridge deck pavement.Effect of interlayer contact stateand horizontal applied force on bridge deck pavementare analyzed.The results show that the bond between the layers should be strengthened;effective measures should be taken to reduce the size of the horizontal force.Technical indicators of high temperaturestability and moisture susceptibility of asphalt mixtures should be improved in regions of high temperature and high rainfall levels.Wheel Tracking Device can be applied to simulating the climate characteristics of high temperature and high rainfall levels.Studies have shown that application of gap gradationwithstone interlocked-denseness structureand high softening point asphaltcan resist rutting;void is strictly controlledinan appropriate rangethat can improvehigh temperaturestability and water stability of asphalt mixture.Waterproof bonding layer with low permeability and high adhesion is necessary.The direct shear test fixture that is suitable for MTS is developed.Composite specimenswith ES-2 slurry seal or AC-5 asphalt mixture are fabricated.Shear strengthis measuredby direct shear test to evaluate the shear property of waterproof bonding layer.The testing provesthat shear strength of AC-5isbetter effectthan ES-2;High strength of slurry seal is useful whenused for waterproof bonding layer.Construction technology of bridge deck pavementis crucial,which mainly involves processing method of bridge deck,construction technology ofwaterproof adhesive layer,measures to prevent paving segregation,technology of roller compaction for asphalt mixture etc.Laitance on bridge deck must be clear,and hard and clean interface must be exposed to avoid shear failure from laitance.Throwing pillis better than fine milling-planing in dust pollution,which is equipped with dust removal device.It is the keyfor the waterproofing and drainagesystem of bridge deck pavement thatwater is dischargedsmoothto avoid water infiltrating in bridge deck pavement.Segregation is harmfulfor the quality of bridge deck pavement.Effective measures should be taken to reduce degree of segregation.Controllingtemperature for each link and compaction machinery is the core ofbridge deck pavement compaction.Roadroller must follow paver to ensure that asphalt mixture is compactedat high temperatureand no slippage forSMA.Attentionshould be paid to every detail in structure and material design of bridge deck pavement and in construction technology to avoid the development of the disease.
