Since the reform and opening up,China has become one of the big countries in engineering and engineering education is moving forward.At present,China is at a historical intersection where a new round of scientific and technological revolutions and industrial transformation and rapid economic development are transformed.As a social existence,engineering has become more and more important in economic and social development.However,the problems in the traditional engineering education such as the disciplinary,scientific,and obscure goals can no longer meet the needs of the new era.Under the background of the “New Engineering”,it is urgent to identify the logic of the evolution of engineering science knowledge and explore the mode of training for engineering scientific research and engineering education,so as to provide theoretical basis and useful experience for engineering education reform.This paper sorts out the history of scientific research and talent cultivation in HIT CSC(Control and Simulation Center)for several decades.It presents historical clues to the accumulation and innovation of engineering science knowledge in the dimension of time;it presents the organizational practices of engineering science activities in the dimension of space,thereby understanding the relationship between engineering projects,knowledge production,discipline development and organizational models,and then explore the evolution mechanism of engineering science knowledge.This study clarifies the concept of engineering science and considers that engineering science is an exploration of engineering problem-solving approaches and exploration of recurring and universally significant issues in engineering activities.Engineering science knowledge is the integration of basic scientific knowledge and technical scientific knowledge,technical knowledge,engineering knowledge,experience and intuition,and organizational practices.Engineering scientific research follows the logic: The problem comes from engineering practice.Its goal is to solve the engineering problem.The criteria for the rationality of engineering knowledge are utility,safety and value rationality.Engineering scientific knowledge is co-evolved through the interaction of engineering activities in the coupling of artifacts,knowledge,and organization.Therefore,engineering science knowledge is characterized by context,conservation,integration,and systematicness,expedient,and tacit.In view of the vagueness of the training of engineering students faced by the current engineering education,the curriculum tends to be subject-oriented and scientific,as well as the inversion of “learning” and “practicing”,providing some reflections on the construction of “New Engineering” and establishing the training target for engineering students.The research university reshapes the academic value orientation,realizes the specialization of the medical industry and the integration of knowledge,the level of engineering education,and the engineering education is based on the learning process of the engineering project.
