According to the research on the current situation and materials used in Chinese middle school libraries,it reflects a series of problems such as unbalanced library construction,low utilization rate,waste of library space,and contradiction in use,despite the fact that the state has issued policies to vigorously develop the construction of Chinese middle school libraries.However,due to its limited coverage and the middle school students faced with the pressure of exam-oriented education and other current conditions,it has led to various development problems.Although the construction of campus library facilities in some urban middle schools in China is perfect at present,due to the lack of space organization,functional layout,and planning of site selection,the utilization rate of library space is not high,and there is a problem of space waste.In addition,some economically backward and remote secondary school campus libraries are not valued by the school.First,they are built to meet the requirements of the norm,and second,they are to cope with "face" such as inspection and evaluation.This leads to the existence of libraries.Construction functions are not comprehensive.Some schools can not even meet the basic reading needs of students,and their existence is due to the chaotic layout of space.However,the main research object of this article is the library space in the middle school campus.With the development of education reform,people are paying more and more attention to the cultivation of the quality education of middle school students.The school library is an indispensable building on campus and is also an essential part of quality education."Learning center",Therefore,how to make better use of library space plays an important role in the construction and development of middle school campus under the condition of uneven resources.Based on the study of the development processof school education concept,this paper discusses the development of library construction and the evolution of space structure at home and abroad,based on the existing standards and standards for the construction of middle school libraries and the investigation and analysis of the space examples of middle school campus libraries with low utilization rates.This paper puts forward the idea of compound design of campus library space in middle school.On the basis of this,the paper combed out the case study of the space composite design of excellent middle school library through the field investigation,and made the key points on its spatial composition,function layout and scale layout.In the entire research process,based on the collation and collection of theoretical knowledge and data on the development of education at home and abroad and the construction of libraries,combined with on-site research,the current situation of different types of middle school libraries was studied and analyzed.By using the methods of data measurement,current situation of teachers and students' communication and questionnaire feedback,the paper summarizes and compares the current situation of different cases,and then provides rich basic information for the composite design of middle school book space.Finally,based on the analysis of the current readers behavior pattern of the middle school campus library,this paper summarizes the strategies of the compound design of the middle school library space in China.Through the proposal of the composite design strategy,we hope that in the future,we can provide reform strategies and methods for the established middle school libraries and provide rich construction strategies for the unfinished middle school libraries.In addition,we hope to make a theoretical basis for the further research on the library space in the future,and it can also provide some help for the design and practice in this area in the future.
