The concept of education in our country is moving forward from exam-oriented education to quality education.The concept of lifelong physical education for students has become the consensus of all walks of life.In order to further deepen the implementation of education reforms,the state issued a series of documents such as the “National Outline for the Medium and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)”.The reform of physical education is a very important part of this.However,the shabby outdoor playground and outdoor track and field playground in the middle school campus have become one of the biggest hardware bottlenecks in the implementation of sports quality education reform.In order to enhance the physical constitution of middle school students and cultivate students' motor skills,physical education in middle schools,teacher-student sports,school gatherings,and theatrical performances are protected from adverse weather conditions such as rain,snow,haze,etc.,providing teachers and students with a better sports space environment.The newly-built playground with appropriate scale,complete facilities,site standards and complete functions is the best choice.However,the national standard “GB 50099-2011” in the field of middle school design and construction does not explicitly require the design of playgrounds in middle schools.There are many problems in the existing playground of middle school.First,some middle schools have long-established schools and their design concepts are backward.Their stormy playgrounds still maintain the traditional form of construction.They have a cramped space and a single function,and they cannot meet the needs of the current development of high school sports and sports activities.Second,some playgrounds and gymnasiums in newly-built middle schools are designed as templates.However,the two are different in terms of architectural forms,function settings,spatial organization,and operation management.This design model cannot meet the teaching and culture in middle schools.The demand for life has caused a low utilization rate of wind and rain playgrounds.Therefore,the stormproof playground space needs higher utilization efficiency to achieve the goal of quality education and lifelong sports,meet the diversified needs of school teachers and students and surrounding community residents,and share the design and construction costs of stormy playgrounds.This article takes the space of ordinary middle school sports activities constructed in six different periods in Xi'an and Baoji as the research object,and adopts the following research methods: field research on the status quo of middle school campus space,and taking pictures and on-site mapping to record the relationship between stormproof playground and playgrounds,location of stormproof playground and teaching buildings;Record the current status of various sports venues,and obtain relevant architectural drawings,including general building plans,teaching buildings,and stormproof playground building plans;Observe the use of existing sports space,and understand the spatial composition and basics of sports facilities in middle schools.The use situation includes the arrangement of physical education activities in schools,especially the arrangement of physical education courses and extra-curricular activities,and asks teachers to provide schedules for later research;interview physical education teachers and students to understand their practical views on sports activities and playgrounds.And demand;combined with research data and relevant standards,researching the actual needs of middle school sports space,providing a basis for the multifunctional design of stormproof playground;and summarizing the main factors influencing the utilization of stormproof playground in middle schools through the status quo research,and proposing a playground for middle schools.Space efficient design approach.After analyzing and researching the sports space in middle schools through the above methods,the current problems in the ordinary middle school sports space environment are sorted out and summarized.The statistics on the use of stormproof playground in three different types of middle schools were calculated,the utilization rates of different types of stormproof playground were calculated,and the main factors affecting the playground utilization in middle schools were discussed.On this basis,it is proposed that stormproof playground in middle schools should be designed around efficient use of space.Finally,from the aspects of campus planning and layout and architectural space design,we will explore ways to improve the stormproof playground space environment in middle schools in terms of layout,scale,spatial height,spatial functions,and interior design,so as to better adapt to physical education in middle schools.Reforms and the implementation of new national policies have proposed recommendations for the theory of sports architecture design in middle schools.
