Since the ATLAS and CMS collaborations in European Organization for Nuclear Research(CERN)announced the discovery of Higgs particles in 2012.Exploring new physics becomes an important goal of particle physics.In order to understand Higgs deeply and make a detailed and precise measurement to it.And exploring beyond Stand Model new physics.China has proposed a plan to build a large circular electron positron collider(CEPC).The subject of this paper takes the CEPC detector system's hadron calorimeter(HCAL)as research objective.One of the schemes for HCAL uses a plastic scintillator and SiPM as a detection unit.This type of energy analyzer is called analog readout HCAL(AHCAL).There is a kind of program which using plastic scintillator and SiPM in the HCAL.This kind of HCAL is called analog readout calorimeter(AHCAL).For a CEPC calorimeter system,there will be 5 million electronic channels in a high granularity calorimeter based on the particle flow algorithm(PFA).The larger area of the detector cells in highly granular sampling calorimeters are,the fewer electronic channels are needed,and the total detector construction cost will be reduced greatly in permission of the physics requirements.In order to reduce the HCAL construction cost.This paper has carried out research work on the performance testing of detector cells with different sizes and the domestic SiPMs which has the advantage of price,as well as related Monte Carlo simulation works.The paper using a kind of advanced dome-shaped plastic scintillator structure read out by SiPM using the air coupling manner was tested the performance parameters of the detector cells of 30mm×30mm×3mm,40mm×40mm×3mm,and 50mm×50mm×3mm.The results show that the response uniformity could reach up to 90% of the tile area within 10% deviation from the mean value.The cosmic ray response could reach up to 30 p.e./MIP(Minimum Ionizing Particles),the cosmic ray MIP detection efficiency could exceed 95%.The domestic plastic scintillators were tested and the light output could meet the reauirements.The response uniformity of 40mm×40mm×3mm were tested based on domestic SiPM and the testing results are consistent with the Monte Carlo program Geant4 simulation.The response uniformity could reach 93.75% of the tile area within 10% deviation from the mean value.The MIP detection efficiency could reach 94.6%.The studies on these detector cells based on plastic scintillator show that large area detector cells(40mm×40mm,50mm×50mm)and domestic SiPMs are basically feasible in the CEPC-AHCAL.Next step,in order to guarantee consistency of the detector cells,the injection-molding plastic scintillator detector cells as well as the domestic SiPM with proper structure would be researched.
