Abstract/Summary:
The rising of primary and secondary education in Wuhan can be traced back to 1861,the time when Hankou Port was openned and when the late Qing Dynasty was in political and social unrest.Under the impact of the Western culture,a number of new things emerged in the Wuhan regional culture,among which were primary and secondary school buildings.These modern school buildings in Wuhan witnessed the evolution of the modern Wuhan city and recorded the primary and secondary education culture as well as the city’s traditional culture.The birth of these buildings not only enriched the diversity of historical architecture in Wuhan,but also added new cultural expressions.With the continual acceleration of city construction,the conservation of historic buildings in the city was once seen as impeding the urbanization.Nonetheless,as the concept of cultural heritage protection gradually gained international attention and recognition,how to transform historic buildings into a driving force for the society has become a widely debated topic.Through research on their history,evolution and current status,this article elaborated the value of the cultural heritage of primary and secondary school buildings in Wuhan as well as its transition.The article also clarified on their importance in the study of the city’s contents,cultural characteristics,the history of primary and secondary education and the modern Wuhan architecture.and discussed its preservation.On this basis,combining with the contemporary value orientation,summarizes the existing related evaluation system in the field of historical building protection research,using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to construct the wuhan modern primary and secondary school buildings conservation design evaluation system,the application of this assessment system are put forward.Through the construction of wuhan modern primary and secondary school buildings conservation design evaluation system,in order to cause to the modern education research in the field of architectural conservation design evaluation system;At the same time,this paper builds the evaluation system is based on the wuhan modern primary and secondary school buildings protection,for historical building protection in the process of policy setting,public participation,plan design,and other areas of the relevant work may bring new ideas;In addition,through the research and application of the evaluation system of wuhan modern primary and secondary school buildings protection was designed to provide strategy,applied research results in the two of Wuhan primary and secondary school protection repair design,these two groups can also be used for providing practical reference for other modern education buildings conservation design.
