Study Of The Old-age Care Of Public Space In Urban-Rural Joint Zone Based On Social Dimension

Under the background of rapid urbanization and rapid aging,the elderly in urban and rural areas face great challenges in their life in outdoor public space,and it is necessary to discuss their age-appropriate nature.After retirement,the leisure time of the old people increases suddenly,while the social relations gradually decrease.How to face the problems brought by this gap and how to create a colorful old life has become an important research topic.This paper starts from the social dimension and explores the mutual influence between the elderly and public space,in order to provide inspiration and help for the design of the outdoor public space of the urban-rural joint part and improve the vitality and attraction of the public space of the urban-rural joint part.In exploring the integration of urban and rural areas the basic characteristic of the public space and urban and rural integration of the elderly based on the demand for public space,mainly USES the method of case studies in the mouths of urban-rural fringe in wuhan city streets two stages of in-depth research,using the topographic surveying and mapping,fixed-point observation and dynamic observation,semi-structured interview and other research methods,detailed understanding of the social characteristics of the elderly and the spatial characteristics of the public space.Then combined with the Arc Map tools such as social relations,social demand for the elderly,social activities,and to carry certain types of activity space of space elements and spatial characteristics are analyzed,and focuses on the following three points:(1)the particular social activities on the space requirements of elements of the different,chat,play CARDS,buy vegetables,a square dance,tai chi and other specific social activities space of natural factors,spatial scale,space facilities space elements such as there are differences in demand.(2)the public space layout under social dimensions presents unique spatial distribution patterns--"multi-core" spatial pattern,"time-space" spatial pattern,and "interpersonal network" distribution pattern.(3)there are invisible boundaries and flowing boundaries in public space.The boundary of the flow produces the "boundary" of space.Because of such factors as gender,social class and personality of the elderly,the spatial "boundary" has an imperceptible influence on the elderly's use of public space.According to these "boundaries",the design principles and design strategies of aging public space are proposed.
