Research On The Intensive Renewal Design Method Of Urban Campus

At the beginning of the century,Chinese universities set off a wave of building newcampuses in the outskirts of the city.Due to the blindness of planning and the unreasonable construction,they have evolved into a “enclosure movement” in some places.Problems arise in some colleges such as being too large,getting out of the city,being relatively closed,etc.,and the problems of suburban colleges getting out of the city have gradually revealed many insurmountable problems.Urban universities have irreplaceable development resources and advantages compared to suburban universities.With the country ' s requirements for the development of higher education in an intrinsic way,the renewal of urban universities has also changed from the extensive development of the former to the pursuit of “ quantity ”.Urban universities are also gradually moving toward an intensive renewal road that starts with the rational needs of the campus.The research object of this paper is the intensive updating of urban universities.Firstly,based on the theoretical analysis and the changes of the relationship between university and city,sort out the intensive course of urban universities,and then current situation and the intensive development drivers of urban universities in China are analyzed.Based on the analysis of a large number of cases,the connotation of the intensive renewal of the campus is summarized as that the intensive updating of the campus is not only the intensive integration of the campus interior space but also the interactive intensive integration with the urban resources.So this paper proposes a design method for the internal space intensive and boundary-space interactive intensive in urban universities.The intensification of the interior space of urban universities increases the density of campuses,at the same time also should guarantee a high-quality space environment.Therefore,the intensification of campuses is updated from three aspects: the combination of functions,the compactness of forms,and the diversification of open spaces.The method was summarized.The research on the interactive intensive in the boundary space mainly summarizes the intensive updating design method from several aspects such as the interactive spatial form of the campus boundary,the enrichment of the boundary space level,and the emphasis on the contribution of resources and facilities to the society.The intensive updating of urban universities is an effective integration of resources under the conditions that are basically defined by the boundary of the campus.Intensiveness is notonly the increase of the density of campuses,but also the unity of space compactness and diversity.The completion of a university does not mean an end,but a new beginning.Its renewal should be a kind of process that starts with satisfying the internal needs of the school and gradually moves toward more levels of intensification.
