In recent years, enrollment of university has been increasing in large dimension,with the scale of campus expanding and number of college students soaring dramatically. Meanwhile, the traditional construction mode cannot meet the changing needs of higher educational development. As the university campus is on the way to consummate,the campus spatial mode is altering with time, its openness looming even larger, which is the significant characteristic of open-space campus. As the result of gradual acceleration of Urbanizing level, the relationship between college and city becomes increasingly inseparable.The country economic standard mounting significantly, the level of college students' consumption continuously rises, which makes them turn their eyes away from the tedious and monotonous campus routine to a rich and colorful spiritual pursuing which means they are after a higher taste lifestyle when they have done their academic assignments. However, the service business provided by the campus cannot satisfy the ever-increasing consumption needs of college students, which finally makes them resort to non-campus business.The thesis is made up of five chapters:The first chapter-introduction consists of research background?the definition of research object?domestic and international literature review ?study goals and meanings?research methodology as well as research content and frame.The second chapter discusses the spatial form evolution procedure of college campus and its developing course, thus making a appropriate prediction of future campus development trend. A brief summary of the emergence and evolvement of commercial business around the campus points out the influences brought by the interaction of college campus and its surrounding commercial business.The third chapter analyses the open-space campus and its surrounding commercial space evolution procedure and disciplines in Changsha according to the regional social and economic conditions, thus generalizing the layout forms and distribution characteristics of commercial space.The fourth chapter particularly studies and analyses the different layout forms of commercial space of open-space campus in Changsha due to the contemporary college students' Consuming psychology and behavior characteristics so as to summarize respective developing features as well as contradiction and deficiency.The fifth chapter prospects the future spatial openness of new campus and its surrounding commercial space evolution trend, thus proposing the developing discipline and tentative strategies of open-space campus and its surrounding business space on the basis of all the contents and results discussed above.
