With the rapid development of China’ s economy,the travel demands and requirements of public are continuously increasing.The inadequate of management and service of the transportation enterprise causes many problems.In order to improve the management and service quality further,many provinces or cities have started the construction of the advanced ticketing system for road passenger transportation.Using the computer and internet technology these systems combine the static and dynamic information of ticketing together,realize the interchanging and sharing of information and establish the various ticketing methods.Hence the management and service quality could be improved.This dissertation focus on the problems mentioned above,take the Xi’an online ticketing system as the design target.The ticketing system contains ticketing,business operating and decisions making functions for the information interchanging and sharing.Hence the management and service quality could be improved.This dissertation starts with a demand analysis of the online ticketing system.The demand analysis contains the overall demands and the business,function,performance and data demands analysis.The system architecture is the most important part of design.Hence the structure of data resource,application subsystems,communication network and system safety were analyzed base on the results of demands analysis.Then some key parts in system include key business flow,liquidation methods,modular interface,identifier information and the software and hardware of system were designed in detail for system implementation.Finally,the key sector for testing and deploy were discussed after system design.This design has been successfully run in practice.Since the system launched,it has experienced many times passenger traveling peak,like peak in spring festive,summer holidays and national day.The performance during system running indicate that the proposed system is stable and better meet the demands of passenger travelling and the transportation enterprise operation,greatly reduced the pressure of the station and make the passengers traveled more convenient.
