Abstract/Summary:
Multi-transport intermodal travel is an inevitable choice for long-distance passenger travel in the future, and is an inevitable result of the development of highspeed rail and aviation to seek common ground while reserving differences. The state has proposed in various development plans and guidance that China’s integrated transportation service level needs to be improved urgently.China’s current intermodal transportation is still in its infancy, and it is necessary to take advantage of multiple transportation methods to improve transportation efficiency while improving passenger travel experience. This article relies on the national key research and development plan project hub group multi-modal transportation ticketing integration and the entire process information service technology(2018YFB1601304).Firstly,aiming at the concept and cause analysis of ticketing and information service bottlenecks for multi-modal transportation, taking the air-rail intermodal transportation of Shijiazhuang Zhengding Airport as a typical research object, build a multi-mode transportation air-rail intermodal travel database.Secondly, the passengers are classified based on their individual socio-economic attributes and travel characteristic attributes through a systematic clustering method. Then, for different categories of passengers,a multiscore Rasch model based on project response theory for air-rail intermodal travelers ticketing and information service inconvenience perception was constructed, and its reliability and validity were analyzed. Finally, through the model fitting results, ticket and information service bottleneck diagnosis during the air-rail intermodal travel of various categories of people.Through the analysis of the difference between the crowds, the bottlenecks common to all passengers and the different bottlenecks caused by the perceived difference between different categories of passengers are obtained.Quantitatively predict the improvement benefits of ticketing and information service projects in the process of air-rail intermodal transportation, and propose optimization strategies for air-rail intermodal ticketing and information services based on passenger characteristics. The research results show that the common bottlenecks for all passengers in the air-rail intermodal process are the inconvenience of overall transfer connections, low departure punctuality, imperfect emergency remediation services, unreasonable shift arrangements during operating hours, insufficient personalized services, and poor accessibility to hub stations.According to the characteristics of passengers, the bottlenecks of the first category are that the information planning services and baggage security are poor;the passengers of the second category think that the fares,real-time information services and the cost of arrival at the station are unsatisfactory;passengers in the third category considered the security of the existing routes and baggage to be poor;passengers in the fourth category considered the costs of information planning services, existing routes and arrival stations unsatisfactory. From the analysis of bottleneck improvement benefits,it can be seen that the current group bottlenecks can improve the convenience of transfer connections, punctuality, emergency remediation services, baggage consignment services, and personalized services(increased by 5% in the near future and more than 10% in the long term).Similarly, according to the characteristics of different passengers,it is also necessary to improve baggage check security,fares,real-time information services, arrival station fees and existing line arrangements.According to the prediction of improvement benefits, corresponding optimization suggestions are put forward. This study includes the ticketing and information services of the whole process of air-rail transport, and investigates the specificities of service bottlenecks for comprehensive research. This article is based on the perspective of travelers’ inconvenience, from the fare ticket system,real-time information, operating organization, personalized service, transfer connection, reliability, accessibility, safety, comfort and other aspects of service items. The in-depth study of traveler’s behavior perception has realized the diagnosis of the ticketing and information service bottlenecks during the air-rail intermodal transportation and the prediction of the improvement benefits, which can provide reference suggestions for decision makers.
