In recent years,with increasingly stringent emission regulations,turbocharging and exhaust gas recirculation technology have been widely used in automotive engines.This requires that the engine be fitted with a high-performance intercooler to cool the charge air and the recirculated exhaust gas to get good resultsof energy conservation and emission reduction.Based on this,this paper develops an intercooler design and optimization software platform with a self-associated core of common structure.In order to optimize the intercooler structural parameters and improve the cooling performance of the intercooler,the Fluent software was used for simulation under different air flow to analyze its effect on heat transfer and resistance performance.By comparing the results of CFD calculationsand the wind tunnel test data,the results agree well with each other,which proves that the numerical simulation method is feasible and accurate,and provides a good simulation design method for the matching and optimal design of the subsequent intercooler.According to the heat transfer and flow resistance model,a related development platform for designing and optimizing intercooler of pressure drop and heat transfer is developed.The three major systems of the platform are:(1)an intercooler design system in the light for the basic theory of convection heat transfer is capable of performing performance design calculations on the basic structural parameters of the intercooler.(2)an intercooler system based on an improved genetic algorithm can carry out multi-objective optimization of structural parameters.(3)an intercooler data processing system in accordance with intercooler wind tunnel experimental data can be used to fit pressure drop and heat transfer correlations in a single key.The intercooler design optimization software platform developed in this paper realizes the unification and integration of design calculations,optimization analysis,and data fitting.Through the optimized intercooler design scheme of the platform to realize the goals of optimizing performance,saving costs,reducing consumables,and shorten the development cycle.
