Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, people take various measures to improve dynamic performance of the engine, and turbocharged is one of the measures. Inter-cooled technology is an effective measure to ensure turbocharged effect, and intercooler is an effective and simple device to reduce air temperature, and the intercooler impacts on the performance of the car directly. At present, in the process of the design and check calculations, and the relevant parameters are calculated and debugged repeatedly, and this results volume calculations, low efficiency and a longer period. Computers can be used to achieve the parametric aided design of the intercooler. Not only can work efficiency be improved, but also the level of entire intercooler industry can be improved. On the basis of large number of domestic and international literature, basic theory of heat transfer system is researched. Cooling system, structure, and heat-transfer mechanism are analyzed on the basis of heat transferring equation and heat balance equation. The tube-finned intercooler with the design and checking method of calculation is summed up. That is the method of NTU or LMTD, and the cold parameterization software is designed to provide a theoretical basis. In this paper, the author paid more attention to a tube-fin intercooler, and analyzed heat-transfer process on the basis of thermodynamics calculation, and summarized design and check calculation methods of this type intercooler. The author made a general design Program which could finish the work of designing and checking by Visual Basic Programming language, and this program system contained designing, checking, performance analyzing and database parts. The program system made the tube-fin intercooler’s designing and checking more convenient and achieved the programmed design. The author simulated and studied the tube-fin intercooler by Computational Fluid Dynamics, and computed cold air channels and hot-air channels separately through the FLUENT software. The results we got from CFD simulation were similar to software system. The results show that CFD simulated and analyzed intercooler’s flow process and CFD had many advantages. The wind tunnel test verified this software was correct, at the same time, this results show that we can use Program which could finish the work of designing and checking to obtain intercooler’s result, and the paper had certain reference value for relative research.
