Huge amounts of projects invested by government and sino-foreign companies are increasing continuously which is accompanied by the steadily economic growth in China.Meanwhile,many of those are very complicated projects which are in big scale,short construction period,higher requirements in quality and process.Hence,in order to executing projects efficiently,it brings forward higher requirements for domestic project management level.It creates more opportunities of practice to provide engineering management companies with improvement of project management capability.All participating parties well acknowledged the advantages and benefits brought by project management.Being an important part of project management goal system,project cost controlling becoming mature gradually and it plays great important role in effective control for project cost.Project cost control can improve effectively the project management level and performance with implementing project management standard and ensuring the project quality and progress as premise.It is also an important management tool for project success.This thesis reviews the related literature on project management,on the background of RGE Group business,the project management of projects on large size investment of pulp and paper,viscose fiber,cleaner energy such as LNG and etc.have been taken as research object to study,analyze and discuss.First,this thesis introduced the basic information of P Company and the current situation of project man-hour management in P Company.Given the analysis of existing problems found out on project man-hour management and summarized the causes of the problems formed.Secondly,through a series of measures to achieve the goal of improving the project man-hour management by preparing and maintaining man-hour standard quota,improving the man-hour management system,enhancing the communication and cooperation between the interface of cost control and other discipline.Simultaneously,to carry out the improving measures in 3 phases of project earlier stage,project executing and project ending.Finally come up with safeguard measures including management system,training system,technology and funds.State the effects of measures implementation at the end.This paper aims to provide some useful references and thoughts on the level of project cost control improvement through the analysis and discussion of the above issues.
