| Home design has become a hot topic in the current folk tourism and design circles.Beiguang Village in Taigu County is a famous historical and cultural village in Shanxi Province.It has preserved many typical traditional courtyard houses of the Ming and Qing Dynasties such as “San Duo Tang”.Personalized design of traditional residential buildings,giving them new vitality,will play a positive role in the protection and use of traditional architecture and the development of local cultural tourism.The paper collects and researches the historical evolution,natural environment,politics,economy,and culture of Beiguang Village.From the current situation of Beiguang Village,the paper finds out the development of the Beiguang Village B&B in combination with home and abroad hotel design cases.There are opportunities and bottlenecks in the market.Based on the analysis of the site selection principle,layout characteristics,spatial composition,courtyard organization,and architectural decoration art of the Beiguang Village’s traditional houses,a traditional residential building was selected for renovation and design.In order to explore the regional characteristics,values,and significance of Beiguang Village’s homestay design,it also proposes suggestions and countermeasures for how to develop the homestay in Shanxi Taigu Region to promote local economic development. |
