Abstract/Summary:
How to properly protect and reuse historical traditional folk houses has always been an unsettled problem alongside with the rapid construction of China’s new countryside.However,in recent years,the popularity of homestay in the mainland has given the architecture construction and tourism a new direction.In this context,this paper,based on the dialectical theory of protection and renovation,through a comprehensive analysis of the historical traditional folk houses in DaXu Town,BaoJing Village,summarizes the geographical location,architecture features and the details of the folk houses.Moreover,this paper,combining the theory of the traditional folk houses renewal,makes a lot of efforts to find ways to successfully replace the folk houses with homestay from plan function,space layout,outdoor landscape,new facilities and so on.All these aim to make the site harmonious with the surroundings,which will reach the coordinated unity of the old and new,and finally find out the sustainable development path of the second utilization of the historical traditional folk houses.This paper,using the Daxu village located in Yongzhou city of Hunan Province as the research object,whose research scope is mainly through the optimized strategy of the homestay space,to explore a new way of the transformation and reuse of the historical traditional folk houses.This paper consists four parts,which is divided into six chapters.The main contents are as follows:Part 1: Background Analysis.This is the analysis of the background,purpose and significance of this research.Part 2: Data Analysis.This is the summary of the mainly related theory research and practice.Part 3: Analysis Result: this part consists three parts.First part is the basic research analysis of Baojing village.second part is the exploration of the protection of the residential buildings adopting the form of homestay.The third part is the reconstruction plan of the protection and reuse of the residential buildings in baojing village—taking the new house for instance.Part 4: conclusion: this is the conclusion and the prospect of this project.
