With the rapid development of China’s economy,the number of cars is increasing,which leads to the increasing traffic congestion,frequent traffic accidents and increased energy consumption.The vehicle monitoring system can monitor the location and information of vehicles,and realize the demand of improving traffic condition,improving travel efficiency and improving traffic safety.The vehicle monitoring system based on GIS is an important part of the intelligent transportation system,which is the embodiment of the primary stage.First,in this paper,the intelligent transportation research at home and abroad are introduced,the key technology research,the vehicle monitoring system based on GIS design,the overall architecture of each module function and working principle are introduced.The system consists of vehicle terminal,communication link,web server and monitoring platform.The vehicle terminal is responsible for receiving GPS satellite positioning information and analyzing and collecting the data of the vehicle CAN bus,and sending the geographic location and traffic information to the web server;The server is responsible for storing relevant data;The monitoring platform monitors the traffic by accessing the web server database.Second,in this paper,the car terminal overall architecture is analyzed,according to the actual demand and the vehicle terminal hardware design and software design,including GPS module,4 g module,the CAN module of software and hardware design.Based on TCP/IP protocol,a Socket connection between the vehicle terminal and the web server is established to realize data transmission.Third,this paper deals with the server database design,established the entity-the conceptual model,move the vehicle information,the owner information,vehicle information such as the entity into a conceptual model,set up a database,and realization of data add,delete,modify,query and other functions.Fourthly,this paper researches and develops the monitoring platform.Based on SuperMap iserver,the electronic map is released,and the functions of zooming,shrinking and roaming are realized through the development of JavaScript.GeoJson format to vehicle location and shape information coding,in the electronic map display,to achieve the goal of mobile monitoring,and analysis of traffic are studied,including the path analysis,service area,recently facilities for analysis,and other functions.At last,the paper summarizes the research contents,analyzes the shortcomings and puts forward the prospect.
