In recent years, with the number of domestic cars is increasing, urban traffic congestion problem is getting worse. Intelligent transportation system is in support of public transport planning, scheduling, and other related theories, the wireless communication,navigation and positioning, embedded technology in traditional public transport system, the formation of modern public transportation system. It can not only improve the operational efficiency of public transport, but also alleviate traffic congestion.The vehicle terminal is command and the information acquisition terminal of intelligent transportation system, is one of the core equipment. Based on the study of literature and existing solutions, combined GPS, 3G, embedded technology, researched and designed an intelligent vehicle terminal bus. The terminal was mainly composed of the main control board, LED screen, television advertising screen, keyboard and other components and achieved call out the stops, LED display, video display, advertising and other functions.First, the paper anchored the system requirements, extracted the specific technical indicators, in-depth study of the existing intelligent transportation vehicle terminal scheme.It Carried out a detailed analysis and comparison of DSP, ARM + DSP, ARM + FPGA,ARM + hardware encoder and other scheme, determined the ARM + hardware encoder scheme and selected Hi3531 as the main chip. Completed the overall design of hardware solutions and selection of GPS, 3G, video input and other peripheral modules. Completed a study of software solutions, chose embedded Linux as the operating system of the terminal.Then, using the Cadence 16.6 high-speed PCB design tools, completed the schematic design and the six-storey terminal density PCB design and Hi3531 minimum system design.Completed the design of vehicle terminal prototype. Solve the PCB laminate structure design, Hi3531 fan-out, decoupling capacitors selected issues. Completed the terminal software designed and solve the 3G dropped reconnection, H.264 hardware video compression and storage problems.Finally, build the terminal debugging platform, complete Hi3531 minimum system, 3G,GPS and other modules debugging. Describes the module debugging sequence, debugging considerations. Commissioning results show that terminal in full compliance with the design requirements, achieve the desired purpose.
