Research On The Insulation Online Monitoring System Of Substation In GIS

The application of GIS substations in power systems is becoming more and more common.GIS has the advantages of small footprint,good insulation performance,convenient and fast maintenance and safe and stable operation.However,the GIS adopts a fully-enclosed combination method,which also brings the drawbacks that the failure is difficult to find,the insulation and the component aging degree cannot be observed.At present,GIS frequently s uffers from problems such as partial discharge or overheating of internal components leading to GIS insulation damage.Therefore,it is of great significance to study on-line insulation monitoring system of GIS substation equipment.Aiming at the shortcomi ngs of the existing technology,a set of GIS substation insulation online monitoring system based on zigbee wireless transmission was designed.This paper analyzes the common insulation faults in GIS substations and designs a detection method that can detect the GIS partial discharge UHF signal and equipment component temperature.Based on the research of detection methods,the GIS substation insulation online monitoring system is designed.The system is divided into two parts: hardware system and software system.The hardware system includes the selection and design of sensors,signal processing units,zigbee wireless transmission system design,and monitoring host.The software system includes the combination of signal processing methods and virtual instruments as well as the functional design and implementation of each module.The GIS partial discharge signal and temperature signal are detected by ultra-high frequency(UHF)sensors and fiber temperature sensors.The signal processing unit filters and ampli fies the detected signal,and then uploads it to the back-end terminal through the zigbee wireless signal transmission module.GIS substation insulation online monitoring platform based on virtual instruments analyzes,displays and stores data.Finally,an experimental platform was set up and three experimental models were designed to test and analyze the GIS substation insulation online monitoring system to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the system.
