Electrical equipment is of crucial importance in the process of the generation and transmission of electricity in power system,so the detection and analysis of its insulation condition is of great significance to the safe and stable operation of the power system.Based on the theoretical research of partial discharge detection of electrical equipment, this paper developed a wide bandwidth partial discharge measurement system, which was used for partial discharge measurement of electrical equipment in order to understand its insulation condition, then find and clear the fault in advance.Based on IEC60270 and GB7354 national standards, this paper firstly presented the function and performance index of the system design.According to these indicators, combined with the technical level of the laboratory, the overall design of the system was selected. The system was made up of the PD tester host, the monitor host(PC)and a calibration pulse generator. This paper introduced the hardware and software design of the system in detail, and the emphasis was on the hardware, especially the design and implementation of the analog signal conditioning circuit and digital signal acquisition circuit.CC2538 wireless system-on-chip ARM core microcomputer was chosed as the microcontroller of the system,in order to support the communication between the tester host and the pulse generator through Zigbee. In the software part, this paper mainly put forward the design of the software architecture and function and completed the Zigbee wireless communication programming.Experiments show that the system provides accurate measurement results, simple and convenient operation, stable and reliable running. Its application prospect in the modern power industry is very broad.
