Study On The Aesthetic Convergence Between Suzhou Traditional Gardens And Kunqu Opera

As a pair of the world cultural inheritance,both Suzhou traditional gardens and Kunqu Opera boast with great historical and aesthetic value.In this article,by the method of comparison and analogy,Suzhou traditional gardens and Kunqu Opera are studied from the aspect of aesthetic convergence.In the first section,the purpose of the study,as well as the background,meanings,objects,scope,and methods of the study,is revealed.In the second section,the history of Suzhou gardens and Kunqu Opera is discussed,and the refined scholars of Ming and Qing Dynasty are considered as the connections of Suzhou gardens and Kunqu Opera.In the third section titled 'Kunqu in gardens' and fourth section titled 'gardens in Kunqu',the relation between Suzhou gardens and Kunqu Opera is discussed.In the fifth section,two Live-action versions of kunqu opera performances are analyzed.In the sixth section,the aesthetic convergence between Suzhou gardens and Kunqu Opera is discussed,and it is also a breakthrough point and an attempt to study Chinese traditional aesthetics and Chinese traditional philosophy.In the seventh section,it is concluded that both Suzhou gardens and Kunqu Opera are precious legacies of China,should be protected and inherited.
