| With the rapid economic development and the arrival of automobile age,traffic congestion and accidents have become a normality of road traffic.Therefore,travelers are in urgent need for convenient,comfortable and timely public transit modes as a reply to such a traffic conundrum.Bus rapid transit(BRT)boasts many advantages,such as low cost,short construction cycle,large traffic volume,high speed,environmental protection,high punctuality rate and good service quality,hence enjoying a rapid application and development.However,if conventional public transit network fails to coordinate with BRT line to be optimized,harmful competition and ineffective cooperation between them will be inevitable,leading to the waste of resources and the decline of the overall effciency of public transit system.Therefore,it is necessary to study the optimization of conventional public transit network with existing BRT lines.This thesis first introduces the development of BRT at home and abroad and analyzes the functional positioning and route features of BRT and conventional public transit Based on the above,the partake rates of BRT and conventional public transit are predicted according to the characteristics of public transit passengers,and the scope of target passengers of BRT is concluded;hence the principles and methods of the optimization and arrangement of conventional public transit network are proposed.Then,under the premise of taking the influence of passenger interests and corporate interests upon the optimization of conventional public transit network into consideration,the minimum objection function of the system total cost is established that includes travel time cost,ticket cost and corporate operational cost,and furthermore,an optimization and adjustment model of conventional public transit network with existing BRT lines is built In addition,a genetic algorithm-based solution method of conventional public transit network optimization in the existing BRT line is designed,and the optimal solution is searched through evolutionary process,obtaining a satisfactory plan for conventional public transit network.Ultimately,the feasibility of the model and solution algorithm is verified through the analysis of examples.The research results of this thesis are of certain theoretical and practical values for the optimization and adjustment of conventional public transit network with existing BRT lines.The model and solution algorithm proposed can effectively improve the comprehensive efficiency of urban public transport system under multiple patterns,with a view to meeting the needs of traffic and thus solving urban traffic problems. |
